VDI: The Future of Work
Enterprise IT is continuously evolving and the recent pandemic has accelerated the adoption of new-age cloud/digital technologies. Most organizations have or are moving to remote and hybrid working models which requires them to facilitate remote access for their workforce
Embracing these new models requires IT to be agile, resilient and efficient while maintaining a tight grip on security. This has led to a rise in demand for solutions such as Virtual Desktop Environment (VDI), that improve user productivity, reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and are highly secure.
What is VDI and why do you need it?
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is a technology that delivers virtual desktops to users through a network. Instead of relying on traditional physical computers, users can access their desktop environment from any device with an internet connection. Essentially, VDI provides a more secure, flexible, and manageable way to deliver computing resources to users, while also offering potential cost savings.
If you are looking at standardizing desktop environments, providing remote access to your workforce, or reducing outages and downtime, then Virtual Desktop Infrastructure is perfect for you. VDI simplifies desktop support, maintenance, patch management, data protection, and much more.

How does VDI work?
In a VDI environment, virtual desktops are hosted on centralized servers in a data center. Users connect to these virtual desktops using thin clients, laptops, tablets, or smartphones. The user’s interactions with the virtual desktop are captured and transmitted back to the server, where the operating system processes the requests and renders the output.
The benefits of investing into VDI solutions include –
Data Diversity
